Players Classic, where do I begin?
After being a regular for the Players Show in September, last year was my first visit to the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit for Players Classic. I was blown away by the quality and feel of the show, so much so that I had to make the trip back again this year.
Weddings
I should update this more often.
Looking back, February was busy. The good kind of busy at that. I was fortunate to attend two amazing weddings and naturally I felt it right that I brought my camera along with me.
It seems a little unnecessary to ramble on for too long so I'll keep it short and sweet.

First Post of 2016!
Hugely late, but a happy new year to you! Working nearly all hours really has resulted in not much time to sit back and update this but here we go.
A fair bit to update on so will start with the recent acquisition. Safe to say that after three months and about 1300 miles into ownership, some light maintenance and one wash in, it's been a joy. I must admit that I wasn't expecting that owning a roadster could actually be this fun!
Kick starting the updates was another oil change for the roadster.

More Engine Maintenance for the Roadster
Getting work done with this car. It's slowly turning out to be a bit of a gem! (Yes, my coupe is still miles better) This time around, the task at hand was to replace the ccv system (pipes and valve) as well as the rocker cover gasket which is known for leaking on the M54 engines.
E24 635i Detail
So a good friend of mine asked if I'd like to give his E24 635i a little spruce up. Obviously I was more than happy to get my hands on a Bavarian classic!
The Roadster Gets a Wash
More updates. Spent some time giving the paint some much needed tlc. Time to give the tired looking paint a new lease of life. Two days just concentrating on the paint, and I'm over the moon with how it's turned out!
Service Time!
It's no real secret I got the car cheap knowing it would need some work. It made sense to take the challenge on as even with some upgrades, it would still be better than the other potential cars that I had seen available.
New Car!
The 330ci didn't quite cut the mustard. The replacement however...that's a whole different kettle of fish. Fun doesn't begin to describe it!
Sold!
Six months into ownership and the e46 was simply not for me. Great car but it really did nothing for me.
Westside Treffen 2015
Westside always marks off an end to the show season and the start of Autumn for me. It's always been a seriously cool show with a lovely chilled vibe with awesome food and great company. (Not forgetting great weather!) As you can probably tell, it's the perfect recipe for a great show and this year was no different.
Players 9.0
Well, this has been due for a while, better late than never! Following on from Players Classic earlier this year was Players 9.0 at North Weald Airfield. As expected, it was a busy day with a lot to offer! Ranging from a variety of different traders, to a drifting area as well as what many came to see, a lot of ridiculously cool cars, some from all over Europe!
BMW Car Club GB National Festival 2015
Made it to this year's National Festival with all the crew from Custom Cars. It's been my second time at the event and well my only thought is that being surrounded by good company and great BMWs all day can't be bad at all!
Players Classic
For anyone who is a frequent follower of this blog, you'll probably be sick of reading that most of the posts revolve around my exams...well now they're over I had the chance to take the drive down to Goodwood Motor Circuit for Players Classic in June.
New Wheels!
It's time my car had an update and the Tiger Claws had to be replaced. Here's how she looks after the new update!
Westside Treffen 2014
Everyone's favourite show of the season, or so seems the general consensus and certainly mine too. Westside has always been for me a mix of great cars, a local location, and great food! This year was no exception!
Players 8.0
Players has always been an opportunity to see a variety of different cars on show, particularly due to most of the shows I attend throughout the year are German focused. Unfortunately due to skeptical weather reports last year, I didn't attend. This year however, I made an effort of going down the route of pre-booking for the show and shine - I had no choice but to attend!
No surprises when I arrived there was a long queue of folks waiting to get in, once boredom sinks in, and there is about 500 ponies under one's right foot, the temptation to be a bit of a hooligan can get the better of us.
After being lined up, the usual procedure of wiping down the cars, some even opting to wash their cars began. Given I spent a decent amount of time a few weeks back polishing the car, and giving it a few good coats of wax, it wasn't a time consuming job resulting in just wiping the car down with a spray wax.
The first that caught my mind was the Auto finesse's Beetle. When we saw it, it had a coat of wax drying off to a haze, but regardless, there were still many intricacies that I found incredibly interesting!
I even managed to spot a classic Beetle that as I've learnt, is static. Suffice to say I'd never be brave enough to drive a car that low that is also static!
It was nice to see Player's e36 parked up too in a pretty sweet spot. None of the pictures I've seen so far really does the car justice. It's so mean and so wide!
However, none of the real cars were eye catching, not compared to this anyway. I'd definitely say it was my favourite car of the show especially when it's young owner was driving it about.
No surprise really, but there we plenty of cool wheels on display there too.
But also cars that don't 'fit the norm'. Not a car I've seen been modified before well, but this Rover was nothing short of fantastic, right down to the gear knob extension. Classy indeed.
The day overall was great. I can say for sure I had a lot of fun and it's refreshing to know that improvements were made based on the feedback of last year!
Great job to the Players Crew.

The next update will be from Westside Treffen 2014.

As always, Darren's beetle looking perfect. The new additions to his car really have transformed it to a car nothing short of unique.

Trip to London
So I've been meaning to take a trip with some friends into London to get some shots of our cars. Following the installation of a splitter and spacer onto my Z4, I gave it through polish and a few good coats of wax.
Following that, I ended up taking a few pictures around London.
Was pretty happy with the results so ended up arranging to do the same with some friend's cars too. The only issue was that rather than in the day, we ended up going in the evening/night. Having not done a lot of night photography in a while, it was always going to be a little interesting...
Headed to Holborn as a meeting point so while waiting around, more pictures were taken.
Following that, it was a drive over east towards the Gherkin. Unfortunately we didn't stop around there due to heavy road works and a lot of road closures.
Instead, we headed back to a side road I discovered a few years back. Still has that old city charm about it whilst having a pretty good contrasting view of the Shard in the background.
The main issue however with an S55 is that it's hardly what one would consider frugal. Even with active cylinder control, it's quite a thirsty car so the quest to find a petrol station late on a Friday night in the City began. After passing a closed Shell we managed to find one.

Ended up cleaning the car first, a tidy facelift S55 AMG. Truly is a wonderful piece of engineering, especially considering the number of toys that the car came with!
Following the wash, and prior to heading to the city, we got a local country-ish shot with plenty of foliage.
Then hit the A40 and met up along the way, perfect excuse to hang out the side of a car and get some rolling shots! The A class was only a day old!

Whilst there, it was a perfect opportunity to get a good look at the interior of the new A class. Sure enough, Mercedes have really improved the A class now. Certainly is a lovely place to be indeed.

There are a few more pictures to come, and a link will be uploaded when they are up. Until then, the next update will be a small coverage on Players 8.0.
Car update
No doubt there is a strong automotive theme on this blog so it should be very fitting I update my daily on here too.
For starters those that don't know, it's a 2008 BMW Z4 coupe with a BMW Individual two tone interior (black and red). Personally I think it's absolutely gorgeous and importantly, it doesn't have the built in nav!
Anyways, procrastination leads to browsing ebay. Browsing leads to purchasing and then came a (pretty large) parcel on my doorstep.

Finished my exams, ripped the front bumper off and did some drilling and bolting.
Fitted the bumper back on once it was all good and it looked great. Really transforms the front end of the car in my opinion.
Later on, I then ended up treating the car to a full detail. Washed with the 2 bucket method, later clayed and finally finished off with 2 coats of AutoGlym Dark Polish, a coat of Meguiars #16 wax finished with another coat of Meguiars liquid wax.
Then ended up taking the 10mm spacers from my track build and fitted it to the rear. Took the car then for a few pictures, will leave them below for your enjoyment!
The next update will probably be from Players, but till next time!
