After some deciding on what to do I thought the first day should naturally involve a pointless drive on damp country roads giving it the beans. Managed to snap this after I got back (having left my camera at home while out on the drive!) Set up was relatively quick as it looked like it rained pretty much as soon as I got inside!
On a side note after looking at this picture I've made a list of things to do to the car...
- more low
- get a splitter for fake low
- some black kidneys (or maybe black grills with a chrome surround)
- darken the fog lights
- maybe darken the headlights too.
- and lastly more low.
The picture was taken with a 60D and my 24-105 f/4 L lens. Low iso, smaller aperture and a longer exposure with a tripod. I would like to potentially try this shot again (similar conditions as well) with a polarising filter to get rid of some of the reflections from the body of the car.
I have also been meaning to get into some strobe work, so will probably be ordering some budget umbrellas, wireless receivers and cheap flash guns pretty soon. (In addition to my current flash/wireless trigger combo!)
Exciting stuff.
